Toni Martinez has 23 years of experience in the pharmaceutical & biotech industry and has been a key contributor to several successful NDAs. Before joining Hyperion Therapeutics, she was Vice President of Clinical Operations for Anthera Pharmaceuticals. Ms. Martinez began her professional career at Syntex Pharmaceuticals where over a span of 8 years she held various progressive positions including QA & Compliance Auditor, Clinical Research Associate and Manager of Clinical Operations, supporting and leading teams across multiple programs (HIV, Oncology & Gastroenterology). After leaving Syntex, Ms. Martinez held positions of increasing responsibility at Genentech, Sequus Pharmaceuticals, Agouron, Titan Pharmaceuticals, CoTherix, Inc. and Actelion. Ms. Martinez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Stanford University.
